BURNT CAR SMELL

During riots over the years, police cars are often found abandoned, charred, smashed, and tagged with graffiti. Some people suggest that police leave them behind to get an insurance-paid upgrade on their old patrol cars.

While I doubt this rumor is true, I tend to observe the damaged cruisers during riots now. In the most recent ICE Riots, as they’ve been called, self-driving taxis were lined up convoy-style, with “real protesters” jumping up and down like chimpanzees on top of them. Strange.

Then there’s an overpass with a group of cruisers beneath, battered by rocks thrown from above. What’s going on there? I’ll avoid armchair refereeing until more evidence appears, but it sure looks strange.
